Our lives are shaped by our experiences. Our experiences are preserved in our memories. But what if we had a chance to remember things that we never actually experienced? “Shell” explores this idea through a quiet conversation. If you could look through a window that softened the edge between reality and fiction, what would you want to see? What would you want to remember?
Looking through a window, I ask myself, what would I want to remember?
I would want to remember “Shell”.
A breathtaking magnificent masterpiece written and directed by Wesley Chan left me deeply moved and speechless, like a kiss that had set my soul ablaze.
It’s amazing how worthwhile it can be sifting through thousands of crap content, just to find one gem. This is incredible and I keep coming back to it, every single time.
In a short six minutes, this film has captured my heart and brought tears to my eyes. A true inspiring piece of work, this “fake memory” captured exactly what his heart was wishing for, but more than that, it showed what real love is - honest, real, and raw.
Wesley Chan is by far one of the most creative multi-talented individual I have seen in some time. A talented writer and cinematographer, I applaud him for capturing the essence of true art.
This piece of art has motivated and inspired me to “pursue dream and fiction until I’ve reach an even better reality.”
